Pie has consulted on catastrophic and large loss events across the United States, including hundreds of projects along the gulf coast following hurricanes Ivan, Dennis, Katrina, Rita, Wilma and Ike. Pie also assesses structural damage from tornados, snow load and hail throughout the Rocky Mountain States, Texas and the midwest. Our building science services include: new construction building enclosure commissioning and retro-commissioning, design phase consultation and review, on-site quality assurance observations large, building air barrier testing with infrared diagnostics, fenestration and curtain wall air and water field performance testing, and forensic evaluations. Pie is currently consulting on US Army Corp of Engineers projects throughout the U.S.

Eden Prairie, Minnesota (December 05, 2011) – Pie Forensic Consultants (Pie) was recently contracted to provide building enclosure commissioning services (BECx) for the new University of Arkansas Football Center.

Pie Performs Field Testing for New Colorado Judicial Center
Arvada, Colorado (November 10, 2011) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) recently began multi-phase field performance testing on the all-new Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Complex (CJC) in downtown Denver.
Construction of the complex was undertaken by Mortenson Construction with Trammell Crow Company serving as financial developer, and Fentress Architects serving as the project architect.

Arvada, Colorado (March 30, 2011) – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) recently published its 2012 P100 general specifications policy entitled, “Facilities Standards for the Public Buildings Service,” which now incorporates expanded air barrier requirements. Specifically, whole building air barrier testing has been included as part of the building program for the Public Buildings Service (PBS). The ACTAR accreditation process, developed through a grant provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, requires the applicant to pass a rigorous 8-hour examination.
